DL man sentenced for selling cocaine
Dillon Duane Johnson, 21, of Detroit Lakes has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony third-degree controlled substance crime.
According to court records, on Jan. 18, 2016, he sold 1.1 grams of cocaine (with packaging) to a confidential reliable informant with the West Central Minnesota Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.
Johnson appeared in court April 26 before District Judge Gretchen Thilmony, who stayed imposition of sentence and placed him on supervised probation for 20 years.
He was ordered to serve 45 days in jail, with credit for 6 days served, Work-release privileges were granted. He was fined $1,000 plus $1,160 in court fees, and restitution. He must get a complete diagnostic assessment and a chemical dependency evaluation, and follow the recommendations.
