Four counts of vehicle charges
DETROIT LAKES - Dustin Adam Gack, 20, of 728 Richwood Road, Detroit Lakes, has been charged in Becker County District Court with four counts related to an auto accident that left two of his passengers injured.
Gack is charged with gross misdemeanor criminal vehicular operation -- gross negligence, bodily harm; gross misdemeanor criminal vehicular operation --bodily harm, leaving the scene; failure to notify police of personal injury, a gross misdemeanor; and misdemeanor driving after revocation of his license.
On Dec. 9 he was allegedly the driver in a one-car crash on Highway 59 near Sauer lake in Becker County in which his northbound vehicle left the roadway, rolled several times and hit a tree. Police responding to the scene found the vehicle severely damaged, with blood stains on the airbag, but nobody around.
The vehicle had been registered to Gack five days earlier, and investigation allegedly showed that he had been moving at speeds of 90-110 miles per hour at the time of the crash. Two passengers were treated in the emergency room at St. Mary's Hospital -- one for a concussion and rib pain, another for a concussion, head lacerations and back pain.
Gack's license was revoked at the time of the crash.
A warrant was issued for his arrest Friday by District Judge Peter Irvine.
