Duluth woman mugged in broad daylight
DULUTH -- A 55-year-old woman was robbed in broad daylight Friday while walking on the Duluth Lakewalk near Fitger's Brewery Complex.
The woman told Duluth police that four females, believed to be in their late teens, had approached her about 10:30 a.m. and taken her fanny pack, which contained her wallet and cell phone. No weapons were used. During the mugging, the victim suffered minor scrapes and bruises, but refused medical attention, said Officer Brad Wick, a police spokesman.
Officers recovered the woman's identification and credit cards in an alley a couple of blocks away but cash and the cell phone were still missing, Wick said.
No arrests have been made.
