UND student arrested for kicking Fargo police officer in the face
Fargo police arrested University of North Dakota student Abram Griffiths, 22, of Duluth, Minn., on allegations of simple assault on a peace officer and criminal mischief.
Officers were called to Fargo's Holiday Inn hotel at 12:45 a.m. Saturday to assist with an unresponsive man, said Sgt. Ross Renner, Fargo Police Department.
Griffiths was passed out on the bathroom floor and had some cuts on his body, Renner said.
While F-M Ambulance crews and Fargo police officers tried to help him, Griffiths became combative with the officers, but they were able to secure him and take him to Innovis Health, Renner said.
After treatment at Innovis, Griffiths again became combative with officers when they tried to get him into a squad car, Renner said.
Griffiths kicked an officer in the face resulting in minor cuts and kicked out the squad car window, Renner said.
