Moorhead man arrested after standoff
A Moorhead 53-year-old was arrested Friday night after a standoff with police from inside the bathroom of his mobile home.
Lasting about 90 minutes, the standoff ended after the two negotiators from the Red River Regional SWAT Team convinced Raymond Marshall to come out, said Sgt. Mike Detloff.
Moorhead police initially were called to the mobile home at 1224 15th Ave. N. #37 at 9:13 p.m. Friday on report of a fight called in by a neighbor, according to a news release from Lt. Jim Nielsen.
Police said they found Marshall barricaded inside his bathroom, claiming he had firearms, Nielsen said.
Marshall was arrested at 10:50 p.m. without injury and is being held at the Clay County Jail on suspicion of domestic violence. The victim was his roommate, police said.
Detloff said a search warrant looking for guns was executed after Marshall was arrested, but he's not sure if any were found.
