Moorhead man accused of holding sword to friend's throat
A 39-year-old Moorhead man is accused of threatening his friend with a sword in two felony charges filed in Clay County District Court.
Police allege that Kenneth Dean Sevigny Jr. of 318 14th St. S. welcomed the friend in his home Tuesday to watch TV, but when the friend sat on the couch, Sevigny held a sword to his throat and warned him to stop making sexual remarks about his daughter.
The alleged victim told police he was able to slowly ease away from his friend and later call police. He also denied making any such comments about the man's daughter, who he told police he's met twice.
Sevigny faces two felony charges in connection with the incident: second-degree assault and making terroristic threats. He was also charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.
