DL man sentenced to jail, fines for drug crime

Gregory Scott Smith, 48, of 525 Washington Ave. No. 26, Detroit Lakes has been sentenced for felony second-degree controlled substance crime.

Three other charges of felony second- and third-degree controlled substance crime were dropped in a plea agreement.

According to court records:

A confidential reliable informant working with the West Central Minnesota Drug Task Force purchased drugs from Smith on four occasions in 2008:

On Aug. 4 Smith sold him .07 grams of meth for $50. On Aug. 5, he sold him .24 grams of meth for $250.

On Aug. 20, he sold him 1.8 grams of cocaine for $300. And on Sept. 29, he sold him 2.4 grams of cocaine for $300.
