Warrant issued for Frazee woman accused of assaulting her neighbor with scissors
A warrant has been issued in Becker County for the arrest of a Richfield woman on felony charges of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and third-degree assault-substantial bodily harm.
Isabell Lorraine Barrett, 30, of 7134 Cedar Ave. S., Richfield, was living at a Frazee mobile home park when she reportedly assaulted a man during the early morning hours of Aug. 2.
According to the criminal complaint, a man living next door to Barrett got a call from her sometime between 3 and 3:30 a.m. that day, and after he went inside, the defendant started getting increasingly upset with him, first slapping him in the face, then after he asked her not to hit him, she allegedly grabbed a scissors and struck him in the shoulder, causing a small cut.
After the man got the scissors away from her, Barrett then allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife from the sink and "came at him," swinging the knife in front of her. When the man tried to get the weapon away from her, he was able to do so, but sustained a cut to his middle finger that later required 10 stitches to close.
