Fourth man arrested in connection with Chaffee home invastion

CHAFFEE, N.D. - Authorities have arrested a fourth man suspected in an assault of two women during a home invasion-style armed robbery here Sunday night, a Cass County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman said today.

David Lee McIntire, 27, was arrested Monday afternoon in Fargo on suspicion of robbery, terrorizing, burglary and aggravated assault, Sgt. Tara Morris said.

Officers were looking for McIntire after three other suspects were arrested shortly after the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Morris said.

Deputies were called to the 400 block of Main Street in Chaffee for a report that four men had broken into a residence and assaulted the occupants, who called authorities after the suspects left, Morris said.

Two women in the home sustained bumps and bruises in the incident. They were examined by Casselton Ambulance and refused medical treatment, Morris said.

The suspects, who had an undisclosed weapon, took cash and valuables from the home, Morris said.

Two children who were home at the time of the robbery stayed upstairs and didn't have contact with the suspects, she said.

The victims were acquainted with at least some of the men, she said.

Michael Anthony Mario, 34, of West Fargo, Levi Brandon Melby, 21, of Fargo, and Zachary Scott Senger, 18, also of Fargo, were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery, terrorizing and burglary.

Mario and Senger also were arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, and Melby faces potential charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
