Men charged with burglarizing Wolf Lake Liquor Store, caught on video

Two area men have been charged with second degree burglary in connection with a March 29 break-in at the Wolf Lake Liquor Store.

Nicholas Wallace Johnson, 22, of Hawley, and Chase Dillon Bailie, 19, of Glyndon, both made their first appearances last week in Becker County District Court.

According to the criminal complaint, the two men allegedly used pry tools to break into the liquor store and stealing a safe from the office. They were identified through surveillance video that showed two men entering the building at around 3 a.m. The complaint said that the door of an ATM machine had also been pried open, but the safe inside had been left intact.

Both Johnson and Bailie are in custody at the Becker County Jail awaiting their next court appearances, at omnibus hearings set for May 6.
