Detroit Lakes woman prison sentence stayed with 40 years probation

A Detroit Lakes woman was sentenced last week on a felony drug charge.

Tammy Ann Bakke, 42, of 313 Woodcrest Blvd., Detroit Lakes, was sentenced to 86 months in prison, stayed on conditions including completion of up to 40 years of supervised probation, a six-month jail term and payment of $1,090 in fines and court fees.

Bakke was convicted Feb. 26 on a felony charge of possession of substances with intent to manufacture; a second count of first-degree controlled substance crime-conspiracy was dismissed.

On Oct. 2, 2008, police officers assisting with a probation search of the residence she shared with James Edward Carr allegedly found a clear plastic baggie containing 180 unpackaged pseudo ephedrine tablets, purchased from Kmart and Wal-Mart in Detroit Lakes on multiple occasions over a several month period. The tablets are commonly used to make meth.
