BC Museum to host Kids Days Thursdays in August
The Becker County Museum is hosting Kids Days in August. Stop in each Thursday during the month of August for great activities for kids. The museum will be featuring a variety of topics relevant to the pioneer history of this area.
Parents, grandparents and daycare providers are encouraged to stop in anytime 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursdays to explore the Becker County Museum together with your kids.
On Aug. 6, the activities will feature "Minnesota History Madness." Aug. 13 centers around the "Tale of Old Three Legs. Aug. 20 will be "Pioneer Days" bringing you back to the days of log cabins, horses and trips to the general store. The month ends Aug. 28 with "I Spy at the Museum" search the Becker County Museum for clues in our scavenger hunt.
Each week, visitors will get a guided tour of the entire museum and opportunities for some hands-on activities including games, crafts, storytelling and demonstrations.
The Becker County Museum is located at 714 Summit Ave., next to the DL Community & Cultural Center. Admission is always free, donations are welcome. Large groups are encouraged to call ahead.
