Frazee man gets jail for drugs, DWI

A Frazee man was sentenced last week in Becker County District Court on a felony charge of drug possession, and one misdemeanor count of driving while intoxicated.

David Wayne Dehoff, 58, of 512 Balsam Ave., Lot 29, Frazee, was sentenced to 15 months in prison on the felony charge, stayed on conditions including completion of a 180-day jail sentence and up to five years of supervised probation. He was also ordered to pay $1,160 in court fines and fees, through an undetermined amount of community service hours.

On the misdemeanor charge, he was ordered to serve 90 days in jail and fined $75.

Dehoff was convicted in connection with an April 12, 2013 incident in which the vehicle he was driving was observed drifting between traffic lanes and onto the shoulder of Highway 10. After he was stopped, he was asked to empty his pockets, and a baggie was found that contained a substance which was suspected (and later confirmed) to be methamphetamine.

DeHoff has a prior conviction on his record for selling drugs, on March 27, 2012.
