Construction begins in Frazee, won't bother Turkey Days
Road construction has begun on County Highway 10 through Frazee.
The project will consist of milling off two inches of the existing surface and grinding up the remaining bituminous surfacing and aggregate base. This will be followed by two lifts of new bituminous surfacing.
Mark Sand & Gravel of Fergus Falls is the prime contractor and has indicated it will take approximately two weeks to complete this project.
A detour will be set up for through traffic and will consist of using State Highway 10 and the State Highway 87 interchange. Local traffic will still have access along CSAH 10 but should expect some delays.
Due to the Frazee Turkey Days event scheduled for July 24-26, the contractor has agreed not to perform any major construction activities during this time period.
Depending on scheduling, CSAH 10 may consist of a reclaimed gravel surface during this event but will be open to non-through traffic. All through traffic is advised to use the detour.
Please be advised to adjust your routes accordingly and to use caution in all construction zones. Visit the Becker County Highway Department Web site for updates on construction at www.co.becker.mn.us and follow the links to the highway department and project status.
