Becker County teen crowned
Teen/Miss Minnesota officials are proud to announce that Maggie Wothe, Frazee, has been named 2012 Miss Teen Becker County International and will represent our community at the 2012 Teen/Miss Minnesota pageant on March 10-11 held in St. Cloud.
She will compete for a grand prize package and the opportunity to represent Minnesota at the 2012 Teen/Miss International pageant. Her official banner presentation was held Oct. 29 in Annandale.
Maggie is the daughter of Jay and Tammy Wothe of Frazee and the granddaughter of the late Clifford and late Delores Ohman of Detroit Lakes. She is a student of Frazee-Vergas High School and also of I.Q. Academy on-line schooling out of Fergus Falls.
Maggie's platform is connected to her involvement with Special Olympics in her area. She is a Special Olympic Junior coach for the Perham area team and is serving her second year on the State of Minnesota Youth Activation Committee (YAC).
The Teen/Miss International pageant system recognizes young women for their commitment to professional and community stewardship. Throughout her year, Maggie will not only compete for the state crown, but she will also be available to speak on her platform "Spread the Word to End the "R"-Word," make appearances, do special presentations and assist with civic and non-profit oriented projects.
