West Fargo man charged in DL burglary
Mason James Remund, 44, of West Fargo, has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony third-degree burglary.
According to court records, on March 11, Remund and Rashid Brifki allegedly entered a garage on the 900 block of Minnesota Avenue in Detroit Lakes and stole several items, including disc jockey equipment, a laptop computer, a microphone, a Cannon XA10HD camera, an American DJ spotlight and other property.
Brifki allegedly told investigating officers that he and Remund planned to pawn the items for a loan and return them before the victim knew they were missing. They tried to pawn the camera at Used-a-Bit in Fargo, but were turned away. They were able to pawn the camera, valued at $1,000, and spotlight, valued at $250, at TLC-The Exchange Station in Moorhead.
On June 22 Becker County District Judge Gretchen Thilmony issued a summons for Remund to appear in court on July 9.
