Audrey Berger Braton Heiney

Living a life of kindness and generosity, touched with warmth and humor, Audrey made everyone she knew feel special. Audrey spent her formative years in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, graduating from Detroit Lakes High School with the class of 1969. After attending Bemidji State University, she married Steve Braton and gave birth to her only child, Mia, with whom she shared a special bond.

Audrey's life dramatically changed In 1973, when she moved to Colorado, where she transformed a hobby, glassblowing, into a thriving business - B &B Glass Creations. She also met and married George Heiney, with whom she worked side by side for nearly 40 years creating and developing the artistry of glass blowing.

Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Mavis and Walter Berger, and her younger sister, Janet Ferrell. Audrey's remaining siblings: Terry Berger of Brainerd, Minnesota, Carol Berger Menke of Northglenn, Colorado, and Linda Berger of Manama, Bahrain, will remember Audrey's sense of humor and tremendous courage. Her grandchildren, Ashley and Dylan Parke, children of Mia and Chris Parke; Rowan and Morgan, daughters of Mandi and Jacob Heiney; Greta, Henry, Teddy and Vivi, and her special angel, Griffin, children of Sarah and Josh Heiney will remember grandma's love, the special interest she took in them and her brownies!

Audrey's genuine personality built lifelong friendships. Her humility and kindness lives on in the motto she lived by: blessed are those who give without remembering and receive without forgetting.
