BCSC?Trap shooting begins this week

The Becker County Sportsmen's Club will open its shooting range on Tuesday evening, April 8th. Practice shooting will continue twice a week until the start of league rounds later in the month. The BCSC embarks on its 26th season of formal, organized trap shooting at its range, 3 1/2 miles south of town in a former gravel pit. The sport caught on with enthusiasm and there are a number of dedicated people who continue the sport.

Club President Brett Friesen and shooting coordinator Perry Nodsle have an exciting summer planned, with a registered shoot, scheduled as usual over the Memorial Day holiday, but more of that later.

Come out next Thursday, April 10 for practice, followed by the spring meeting at the club house. Prices have advanced a bit, but the shooting is still affordable and it is great summer recreation. Few towns in Minnesota offer trap shooting to the extent that the local club provides.
