Football: Indians storm Red Lake 67-6

The Mahnomen machine ground up another opponent Friday, this time it was Red Lake as the Indians rolled for a 67-6 victory to stay undefeated at 5-0 and keep the No. 1 ranking in Class 1A.

For the second straight week, the Indians held their opponents to negative yards rushing, as the Warriors were stuffed for minus-19 yards on the ground.

On the other hand, the Indians scored eight rushing touchdowns by six different players, including Blake Kalbaugh (two), Jake Worms (two), Brian Schoenborn, Mike Bisek, Jerell Londo and Bob Bjorge.

Kalbaugh had 110 yards on five carries, while Worms added 83 yards on the ground on five carries.

One score did come through the air, as Kole Lefebvre caught a 15-yard end zone strike by Kody Levebvre.

The Indians now have outscored their opponents by a hefty 272-20, as they move on to play at Fosston (1-4) Friday at 7 p.m.
