Tweeton selected to Cadet national wrestling team

Frazee’s Luke Tweeton has been selected to compete on the Cadet National Dual wrestling team.

Tweeton earned a spot on the the 52-man Cadet roster and will be headed to York, Pennsylvania to take on the best wrestlers the nation has to offer June 13-17, according to Hornets’ head coach Clay Nagel.

“We are so proud of Luke and all his hard work this spring to prepare himself to compete at the national duals,” Nagel said.

This Spring Tweeton has captured first place finishes at the Spearfish Open, the Adidas Nationals, and the DL Open Greco and Freestyle. He placed second at the Moorhead Freestyle and Greco, third at the Monticello Greco and Freestyle, and was third in Greco State.  

Tweeton held a record of 28-13 as a freshman for the Hornets with 13 pins, three technical fall victories and one major.

He will be a sophomore next year at Frazee High School.
