Officers respond to shooting in Audubon

Peterson, Raider girls capture Moerke XC Invite

The Lake Park-Audubon girls cross country team captured the team title at the Glenn Moerke Invite in Pelican Rapids Thursday.

Lily Peterson and Taytum Nelson paced the Raiders to victory defeating second place Pelican Rapids by four points with a meet-low team score of 48 points.

Peterson ran a winning time of 20:31.34 with Nelson finishing in third place recording a personal best of 21:05.28.

Beth Schauer placed 11th (22:19.94); Izzy Olson finished in 18th place (23:07.06) and Maria Schauer ran 23:41.14 to place 22nd and round out the Raiders’ scoring five. All three runners ran personal best times.

Thea Mattson placed 23rd (23:48.05), along with a personal best by Grace Schauer (26th-24:15.41). Brianne Huesman finished in 32nd position running a time of 25:46.83.

The Raiders return to action next Thursday, Oct. 5  in Perham.​

Team scores: Lake Park-Audubon 48, Pelican Rapids 52, Dilworth-Glydon-Felton 75, Staples-Motley 79, Ottertail Central 82.
