UND-Wisconsin weekend series to be televised locally

UND Fighting Sioux

GRAND FORKS - The UND men's hockey team will try to win its first league championship since 2004 this weekend.

And Sioux fans in the area will have an opportunity to watch it.

The Fighting Sioux Sports Network has partnered with Nodak Mutual to broadcast the series in the area. UND says it "will be aired on most local and regional cable systems that usually carry Fighting Sioux Sports Network hockey broadcasts."

Contact your local cable provider for broadcast details in your area. UND games are normally shown on LocalLinc channel 14 on Arvig.

The Fighting Sioux just need one point over the two games in Madison to win the MacNaughton Cup awarded to the regular-season WCHA champion.

The Sioux can clinch the title outright with two points or a Denver loss to Colorado College.

The games will start at 7:07 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
