Paakh finishes second in state 100 butterfly, Dugger eighth in diving

MINNEAPOLIS - Detroit Lakes High School junior Melissa Paakh finished runner-up in the 100-yard butterfly at the Minnesota State Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday afternoon at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center in Minneapolis.

Paakh's second-place time of 56.51 gained her an automatic All American title.

Paakh also gained a medal in the 100-yard breaststroke event, taking eighth place in a time of 1:08.51.

Senior diver Shayna Dugger completed her diving career tying for eighth place with Richfield's Kelsey Metz with scores of 327.40.
