Tingelstad and Tollefson win Summit League titles

North Dakota State University freshman Ashley Tingelstad claimed the 400-meter Summit League title with a personal best time of 54.27 during the conference meet in Toledo, Ohio, May 6-8.

Tingelstad's -- who is a native of Lake Park-Audubon --  time is fourth on the NDSU performance charts. She also was the runner-up in the 200 meters with a personal best time of 24.30, which is third on the school's all-time charts.

Fellow LP-A native, freshman Toni Tingelstad also claimed a Summit championship with her 5-5 high jump mark.

The Bison women's track and field team took top honors with a 260 score, handily ahead of second-place Southern Utah's 192.5.
