Lady Hornets improve to 3-0

The Frazee Lady Hornets used a balanced effort Thursday night to defeat Ulen-Hitterdal (1-3) 60-25 in girls basketball action in Frazee.

Frazee (3-0) started a little slow but used a 22-5 run to finish the first half with a commanding 31-14 lead.

A quick 17-4 run to start the second half put the game away as all 13 players who dressed saw a considerable amount of playing time.

"We were a little sluggish to start with, but we played much better toward the end of the first half and at the beginning of the second half," head coach Dave Conzemius said.

"We still need to improve on some things if we are going to be able to beat the top teams in our conference and section."

Alexis Tappe led the Lady Hornets with 15 points, nine rebounds and six steals. Ashley Bachmann had 11 points, Josi Tappe had 10 points, and Katie McCorquodale had nine points and seven assists.

Frazee is back in action on Thursday when they host Breckenridge (1-1).
