Bison softball edges SDSU for 12th straight win

FARGO – Maritza Lopez-Portillo’s solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning lifted North Dakota State to a 2-1 win over South Dakota State in Summit League softball Wednesday.

Starting pitcher Whitney Johnson struck out 13 batters for the Bison (25-13, 12-0), who extending their winning streak to 12 games.
