Dragons drop final doubleheader of season

MARSHALL, Minn. – Southwest Minnesota State’s Alysse Luttman came around to score the game-winning run on a throwing error in the eighth inning of Game 1 as the Mustangs took both games of a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference softball doubleheader against Minnesota State Moorhead on Sunday.

Brittany York had two hits for the Dragons as they lost 1-0 in Game 1.

A six-run first inning proved to be enough for the Mustangs in a 6-1 Game 2 victory.

The Dragons finish the season 7-36 overall and 5-23 in the NSIC.
