‘The Last Queen of Hawaii’ is a show that attempts to recreate the Hawaiian language and cultural traditions as authentically as possible. Here, two ensemble members use conch shells as horns, much as people of the Islands did in centuries past. Many of the songs the ensemble performs in this concert have never been recorded before.
