After derailment, BNSF expects to have full rail service restored by Thursday

Derailed cars from a 90-car eastbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight train block the tracks Monday morning four miles northwest of Wadena. Ten of the cars were empty tankers. The rail cars contained sugar and corn meal. There was no public health concern according to the the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office. The derailment occurred at 6:23 a.m. The cause of the derailment is being determined.play button
