Fran Mattson of Ogema and Don Sayer of Detroit Lakes were among the 2018 nominees for Becker County Outstanding Senior Citizen. Mattson and Cormorant Lakes area resident Rick Julian were chosen for the award, but Julian was unable to be present for Thursday's ceremony at the Becker County Fair.
