Andrew Lessin is Don's Service Center's newest service advisor. With previous experience working at Tires Plus, Lessin hopes to bring a "familiar face" to Don's Service Center, where he gets to do what he loves. "I am glad to be back doing what I enjoy," he said. Lessin is from Detroit Lakes, and he has a daughter named Mackenzie.
Average retail gasoline prices in Minnesota have fallen 2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.24/gallon yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 2,856 gas outlets in Minnesota. This compares with the national average that has fallen 0.3 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.27/gallon, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com. Including the change in gas prices in Minnesota during the past week, prices yesterday were 60.5 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 7.5 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

Sunday, February 19 Frazee Knights Pancake Breakfast: The Frazee Knights of Columbus, Sacred Heart Council 12581, is hosting a pancake breakfast to raise fund for the Parish of Sacred Heart Church Stain Glass Window restoration project. The fundraiser will be in the basement of Sacred Heart Church in Frazee with breakfast starting at 9 a.m. and running through 11 a.m. It will be a free will offering.
Tuesday, Feb. 7 At 12:31 p.m. a body harness was reportedly stolen from a locked work trailer, which was parked at a work site on the 1700 block of North Tower Road. At 2:39 p.m. a vehicle was reportedly stolen from Hanson's Auto. At 8:17 p.m. a 24 pack of Miller Lite was stolen from the Frazee Liquor Store. Friday, Feb. 10 At 11:49 a.m. a black Toyota Venza was reported missing from behind the Northside Bar. At 4:46 p.m. a theft was reported on the 100 block of Johnson Street in Wolf Lake.

Lake Region Electric Cooperative (LREC) will be participating in a joint effort to deliver natural gas to the Deer Creek and Parkers Prairie areas. Construction of natural gas distribution infrastructure will begin this spring. The $1.6 million investment by LREC is expected to have gas flowing by August 2017.
Heidi Nelson of Detroit Lakes recently graduated summa cum laude from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn., with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. The college held its fall 2016 commencement ceremony Dec. 17 in the Reif Gymnasium on campus.
