Mothers have their own language when it comes to their children, a language that is understood by children all over the world. As infants held in loving, protective arms, the language is the coos, nicknames and non-sensical words whispered in tiny ears that bring toothless grins. But as children grow the words become a little less loving as mothers become stern disciplinarians to prepare their children for life and the ways of the world. The language and its lessons have been handed down from generation to generation.
