Korf works internship Lucia Korf, a senor at Concordia College in Moorhead, is working an internship this spring as a part of the college's Cooperative Education program. Korf is the daughter of Daniel and Susan Korf of Frazee. Korf, a communications and English writing major, is working at SK Food International, Fargo, as a marketing intern. Rivers arrives for duty Army Cpl. Ryan F. Rivers has arrived for duty at the U.S. Army Recruiting Station, Brainerd. Rivers is a fire support specialist with two years of military service. He is the son of Duane Safar of Ogema.

A Grand Forks, N.D., woman had her first appearance in Becker County District Court on two charges Tuesday. District Judge Thomas Schroeder set bond at $10,000 against Roberta Miller, 50, of 1716 Oak Street.

Grant M. (Matt) Thompson was recently promoted to the rank of staff sergeant with the North Dakota Air National Guard. Sergeant Thompson joined the Air Guard in 2001 and serves with the 119th Fighter Wing Aircraft Maintenance Squadron in aircraft armament systems. He is a 1998 graduate of Detroit Lakes High School. The North Dakota Air National Guard's state mission is to Support local law enforcement in the preservation of peace and order in the state under the command of the governor.
