Over the years, I’ve tried many different sports. Before I started elementary school, I did gymnastics and figure skating. However, that sport didn’t stick, and by the time I was in third grade I was playing hockey. I really enjoyed playing hockey. There’s just something about playing the game that is really fun, even if you aren’t that good. Hockey was taking up most of my time, though, and I knew I couldn’t keep on playing and stay in the Frazee school district. I stopped doing it in sixth grade, and even though I love hockey, I’ve never regretted that decision.
Some people are born really good at sports, some people are born good looking, some people are born incredibly intelligent, and some people are born naturally unlucky. Sadly for me the last one is the one that applies to me, I have always been the clumsy, or just straight pure jinx of my family.

Q: I was widowed after a long marriage, remarried for a few years and then divorced. At age 61, I am not married now. Can I receive Social Security benefits through the record of my first husband? A: Probably you can, assuming that he had worked long enough to be insured for Social Security. The general rule concerning Social Security survivors benefits and remarriage is that you cannot get widow or widower’s benefits if you remarry before age 60.
FARGO — Ashley Morken plans to decorate her home for Easter, but don’t expect any pastel plastic eggs and cutesy stuffed bunnies. Morken, who owns tge Fargo craft boutique Unglued, interprets holiday décor her own way. The abundance of creative resources available online make it easy for people to create personalized, modern holiday decor, Morken says. “Using more subtle and modern decor for the holidays allows you to keep your home more ‘you’ and is typically going to be less work — and storage,” she says.
It looks like we are going out of the winter and into the spring like a lion. We will most likely have a little longer than usual “tweener” season (the season between ice and open water). This will buy all of us time to organize. We can organize as we put away all the ice gear, and start getting out and organizing the open water equipment. This is the kind of spring that will give you time to clean up all your rods and reels.
