NEW YORK MILLS, Minn. – A man police say shot and killed 20-year Ethan Honer here on Thursday before turning the gun on himself has died. Jacob Geiser, 23, of New York Mills, died of gunshot wounds after he was airlifted to a St. Cloud hospital, according to a release from the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office. A 21-year-old woman said Geiser called 911 after she saw Geiser shoot Honer and then himself at a home in the 57,000 block of Highway 56 about 9 p.m., the release said. Honer, of Dent, was found dead at the scene, while Geiser was unconscious.
Law enforcement authorities say the number of drunken driving arrests during last weekend’s WE Fest is on par with a downward trend they’ve seen over the past 10 years or so. MOORHEAD – A Glyndon man was arrested after leading police on a high-speed chase down a busy highway here Thursday night. Dana Thomas, 29, faces felony charges that include driving while intoxicated, fleeing, property damage and about a half-dozen other citations, according to a report released by the Moorhead Police Department.
NEW YORK MILLS, Minn. – One man is dead and another was in critical condition Thursday after a shooting late Wednesday near New York Mills, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office said.
