MINNEAPOLIS - A Virginia, Minn., man pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court to kidnapping his estranged wife. Timothy Caskey, 42, admitted to kidnapping Roberta Caskey in July 2011 and driving her across state lines against her will. Roberta Caskey was walking with her son and a friend on July 14, 2011, in Virginia when her estranged husband kidnapped her. “In addition, Caskey pleaded guilty to robbing the Great Southern Bank in Ottawa, Kansas, on July 15, 2011,” according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota. Police responded Monday to the Sanford emergency room after a woman reported that she had been assaulted Sunday. David Earl Neumann, 23, was arrested Monday on a charge of third-degree criminal sexual conduct against a mentally impaired or helpless victim.
CHISHOLM, Minn. -- A man was found dead on a snowbank in Chisholm early Wednesday morning. The Chisholm Police Department said it doesn’t expect foul play in the death. Police received a call at 7:20 a.m. about a body in a driveway on the 300 block of Sixth Avenue Southwest. “It appeared the man had fallen,” the department said in a statement. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. The man’s name is not being released pending notification of relatives.

GRANITE FALLS, Minn. - A Yellow Medicine County man died Monday after apparently being accidentally buried in a grain bin. The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office identified him as Richard Rosetter, 77. The sheriff’s office was notified at 4:40 p.m. Monday that Rosetter was missing and was believed to be in a grain bin that was having its contents removed. Workers told deputies that Rosetter had been in and out of the grain bin and was last seen around 2 p.m. but was believed to have left with his wife.
