A 20-year-old man Missouri originally told authorities he had been robbed outside the Zorbaz bar and restaurant on Green Lake in Spicer by two armed men on skateboards. But apparently it's not so. The report came at about 10:40 p.m. July 25 and later that night a Kandiyohi County sheriff's deputy caught up with two men matching the suspect descriptions—one with long blond hair wearing a white shirt and shorts, the other with brown hair. The men seemed confused.
The driver of a pickup suffered a fatal medical issue while driving on Highway 10 near Lake Park Monday afternoon, Aug. 15, causing the pickup to leave the road and crash, according to a report released by the Minnesota State Patrol. According to the State Patrol: The driver of the pickup, whose identity was not immediately released, was westbound on Highway 10 about 1:30 p.m. Monday when the crash occurred about 34 miles east of Moorhead.
Three people were injured in a rear-end collision near here Sunday, Aug. 14. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Ford Escape driven by Jason Bristlin, 49, of Hawley, was stopped on Highway 59 to make a left turn around 3 p.m. when it was hit by a Volkswagon Beetle driven by Roberta Tallman, 59, of Detroit Lakes.
A woman was airlifted to a Fargo hospital after a three-car crash here Sunday, Aug. 14. Just before 2 p.m., a woman was heading west on Highway 10 when a pickup tried heading north in the Second Street intersection, according to the Becker County Sheriff's Office. The pickup hit the car which then hit another pickup that was stopped at the intersection. The woman was conscious and alert but had serious injuries, authorities said. The crash is under investigation.

A man and a woman, both in their 70s, were found dead at a Mahnomen County residence Tuesday morning. According to a news release from the Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office, officers found the bodies after they responded to an emergency 911 phone call reporting a shooting at a residence 11 miles northeast of Mahnomen. Law enforcement searched the farmstead and found the body of a 75-year-old man in a quonset building and the body of a 71-year-old woman inside the house. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.
