SPICER, Minn. — A man was robbed outside Zorbaz on Green Lake in Spicer Monday night by two men on long skateboards who claimed to be armed. The incident was reported to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office at 10:45 p.m. Monday. According to the report, two people slammed a man into a car. They claimed to be carrying a gun, and took the man’s money. One of the alleged perpetrators was described as having long blond hair, and wearing a white shirt and shorts. The other reportedly had brown hair.

Former Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals head coach Dennis Green died early Friday morning after suffering a heart attack. He was 67. Family friend and former agent Ray Anderson confirmed the death to ESPN’s Adam Schefter after speaking with Green’s wife. Anderson said Green died after a cardiac arrest. Former Vikings running back Robert Smith, now a FOX Sports college football analyst, posted a message on Twitter. “Rest in peace Denny. I lost my mother in April, I feel like I just lost father,” Smith tweeted.
One of the drivers in a two-vehicle crash near Nelson in central Minnesota, has died. The St. Cloud Hospital confirmed the death of Amber Lynn Martinson, 28, of Alexandria, Monday. The crash happened about 5 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of County Road 9 and County Road 73, north of Nelson. Deputies determined a 2004 Chevrolet Ventura van driven by Deborah Ann Kempkes, 49, of Underwood was traveling east on Douglas County Road 73 and failed to stop at the stop sign.
