Anti-pipeline protesters interrupted Gov. Mark Dayton Saturday as he spoke to more than 800 Minnesotans at a summit about how to clean the state’s water. A half dozen people representing environmental and American Indian groups carrying signs saying “Love water, not oil” went up on stage, while others stood in front of Dayton holding a similar banner. They criticized him for supporting oil pipelines across northern Minnesota. “Why are no tribal groups represented” at the water summit, a man carrying a megaphone asked Dayton.

A North Dakota junior college basketball team finished a game Wednesday night with only two players, losing 156-154 in overtime. United Tribes of Bismarck traveled to Bottineau with just five players for a game against Dakota College Bottineau and three of them fouled out, according to the Bottineau Courant. United Tribes played the entire first overtime 4-on-5, but managed to send it to a second overtime. The game was tied 123-123 at the end of regulation and 138-138 after the first overtime.
UPSALA, Minn. -- A Coon Rapids man was injured over the weekend when a deer jumped between him and the windshield of the snowmobile he was driving, the Morrison County Sheriff's Office reported.
