A rural Litchfield man has been sentenced to two years of supervised probation and ordered to build a fence after neighbors say they saw him doing chores and sunbathing outdoors while nude. According to court documents, from last May 25 to July 12, witnesses say they saw Larry Fiero, 59, sunbathing nude on his deck, picking up sticks while only wearing work boots, riding a lawn mower and bringing his garbage can to the road while completely nude. A Minnesota Department of Health report has found adult Minnesotans living in households earning less than $35,000 per year are nearly two and a half times more likely to have diabetes than Minnesotans living in households with annual incomes more than $35,000. WALKER, Minn. --A 27-year-old Maplewood man will serve 12 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old female and impregnating her during the assault that took place in August of 2014 at the Palace Casino in Cass Lake, court documents stated. Travion Jarel Allen pled guilty last December in Cass County District Court to first-degree criminal sexual conduct by using penetration with a victim under age 13 and was sentenced Monday.
MOORHEAD – A woman convicted of setting multiple fires to her and her husband's Barnesville farmstead in 2011 was released from prison Wednesday. A Clay County jury convicted Tara Andvik of three counts of arson. She was sentenced in 2012 to five years and nine months in prison. Andvik set the fires in October 2011 in an attempt to frame an ex-lover, according to the prosecution. Andvik, now 37, and her husband divorced last year.
