CHISHOLM, Minn. -- A man was found dead on a snowbank in Chisholm early Wednesday morning. The Chisholm Police Department said it doesn’t expect foul play in the death. Police received a call at 7:20 a.m. about a body in a driveway on the 300 block of Sixth Avenue Southwest. “It appeared the man had fallen,” the department said in a statement. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. The man’s name is not being released pending notification of relatives.

This week we’re sharing the recipe for one of Tony’s favorite dishes to prepare at Sarello’s: Pollo Tricolore, (pronounced po-lo tree-ca-lor-ray), otherwise known as Chicken Breast stuffed with Roasted Red Peppers, Basil Pesto and Fontina Cheese. When Tony created this dish several years ago, he took his inspiration from the Italian flag, or il Tricolore, and chose ingredients for the “stuffing” that honored the tricolors of red, white and green. I was curious to know what makes this dish so special for Tony, so I asked him to lay it out for me.
GRANITE FALLS, Minn. - A Yellow Medicine County man died Monday after apparently being accidentally buried in a grain bin. The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office identified him as Richard Rosetter, 77. The sheriff’s office was notified at 4:40 p.m. Monday that Rosetter was missing and was believed to be in a grain bin that was having its contents removed. Workers told deputies that Rosetter had been in and out of the grain bin and was last seen around 2 p.m. but was believed to have left with his wife.

Not just his 11 grandchildren and two great-grandkids, but by the children who spend their days at Villa Maria, the long-term care facility where 94-year-old Langeliers has lived for three years. Inside the 140-bed facility on south University Drive is a group day care, licensed for up to 12 children of Villa Maria employees.

Soft-spoken and quick to offer an encouraging word to others, Bonnie Cumberland provided an example of strength and endurance as she battled cancer. Her sudden death at the age of 67 was a shock to her fellow council members Monday night.
VIRGINIA, Minn. - A man missing for a month apparently froze to death, police said after his body was found under a porch in Virginia. Andrew Christopher Kanian, 41, was reported missing Jan. 2. Virginia Police received a call just before 2 p.m. Monday that someone found his body under a porch in the 300 block of Third Street South. He was found a half-block from where he was last seen. ST. PAUL – The 19-year-old University of Minnesota Duluth student who suffered frostbite after spending a night outside in subzero temperatures was set to go to a hospital in her hometown of St. Cloud on Monday. That was the word from Alyssa Lommel’s mother, Teri, on Alyssa’s Caring Bridge website. Lommel lost parts of her feet and all of her fingers this month after being found in in December off Woodland Avenue in Duluth after a night of drinking. She had been recovering at Regions Hospital in St. Paul since Dec. 7 and was being transferred Monday to St. Cloud Hospital.
