DULUTH - A woman who allegedly began taking and then pawning jewelry from the Duluth store where she worked to make ends meet eventually got “greedy” and is accused of stealing nearly $800,000 worth of goods over a two-year period, court records show. A St. Louis County District Court complaint filed Nov. 15 details a felony theft count against Ashley Marie Wiskow of Duluth. Wiskow, 29, worked at Security Jewelers for more than two years before the theft was discovered.
BRECKENRIDGE, Minn. – Two men face charges in Wilkin County District Court after the police chief here arrested them in connection with the theft of a generator outside a local church. Police Chief Nate Harder said he was off duty last Sunday when a member of his church alerted him to a pair of suspicious men who had wandered into the church smoking cigarettes and then wandered out. Harder said when he went to investigate, he found two men loading a generator into a vehicle that appeared to have come from a truck parked outside the church. Harder arrested Richard D.

DNR officials want Minnesotans to understand that it still is too early to walk on the ice. “The bottom line is it’s crucial that people do not let their guard down,” the DNR’s Kara Owens said, “because ice is never 100 percent safe.
