Greg Dewayne Stephens, 34, of Enderlin, N.D. has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony being a fugitive from justice from another state. According to court records, on Sept. 24 an arrest warrant was issued for him in Richland County, N.D. On Oct. 24 he was located and arrested in Becker County by Becker County officers. Stephens waived his right to an extradition hearing and agreed to be transported back to North Dakota.
Jason Dakota Boots, 23, of Fargo has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony possession of guns or ammunition. A gross misdemeanor charge of giving a false name to a police officer and a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license were dropped.
Brett Warren Stevens, 24, of rural Ponsford has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. According to court records, on Sept. 20 Becker County officers responded to an assault report on the 46000 block of Shinob Trail in Pine Point Township. An officer made contact with the victim at the Park Rapids hospital emergency room. The woman said that at 3 p.m. she had answered a knock at her door and Ashley Jennifer Stevens, 29, punched her in the face with brass knuckles.

Lyman William Lowry, 35, of rural Ogema has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle. According to court records, just before midnight on Oct. 11, a Callaway police officer received a complaint that a red pickup truck with no tail lights was following another vehicle very closely on County Road 21. A short while later, the officer clocked that red pickup truck going north at 90 mph on County Road 21.
A Wadena woman was seriously injured in a rollover accident late Tuesday evening in Deer Creek. Melanie Rene Maas, 60, of Wadena suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to CentraCare Health in St.Cloud. She was wearing a seatbelt. No airbag deployed.
