But these are the words that often come to the minds of people who have never had to live in one of these shelters. For those who have, there are many other words that surround them. Hope. God. Persistence. Repairs. If it were not for these words, the men of the Compassion House in Detroit Lakes would stand very little chance of coming out the other end of their homelessness intact. And while some of them won’t, some of them will.
