Delores "Dee Dee" Boes, 69, of Big Falls, Minn., died Sunday, March 30, 2008, in Bigfork, Minn. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Big Falls Community Center in Big Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Big Falls Community Center. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Big Falls. The Carroll Funeral Home of Deer River assisted the family with arrangements. She was born Aug. 19, 1938, in Littlefork, Minn. She lived in the Littlefork/Big Falls area most of her life.
Sharon Lee Drumbeater-Voas, 39, of Minneapolis, died Monday, March 31, 2008, in Minneapolis. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Cass Lake Facility Center. A wake will begin at 3 p.m. today at the Cass Lake Facility Center and will continue until the time of the funeral. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Boy Lake. Cease Family Funeral Home of Cass Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
Jerald Emery 66 of Leonard, MN died on Monday, March 31, 2008 at the North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji, MN. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley with John Omans officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Dudley Township Cemetery at Leonard. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with the arrangements. He was born January 1, 1942 in Pinewood, Minnesota the son of LeRoy and Eva (Merrill) Emery.
Ethel D. (Forsyth) Petersen formerly of Bemidji, MN passed away March 31, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Society, Blackduck, MN. Ethel D. Forsyth was born January 11, 1921 in Duluth, MN to parents Merle and Leo Forsyth. She was raised in Duluth and attended school in Hermantown, MN. Ethel married Rolland Petersen in Bemidji, MN in 1964. He preceded her in death in 1977. Ethel worked for many years as a seamstress for JC Penney, and nurses' aid at North Country Memorial Hospital in Bemidji. Her hobby and part time business was making and decorating wedding and birthday cakes.
Milan Passeri, 78, of Bemidji, died Monday, March 31, 2008, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Bemidji. Burial will be in the spring in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Bemidji. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji assisted the family with arrangements. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jared Arlt, Ben Hein, Nathan Hein, Neil Hein, Chris Passeri and nephew, Tim Parker. He was born July 13, 1929, to Ernest "Monty" and Edna (Davis) Passeri in Bemidji.
Tanya Leigh-Ane Sargent, 32, of Bemidji, died Sunday, March 30, 2008, at her home in Bemidji. She was a dialysis patient waiting for a kidney. A traditional service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake. A wake will begin at noon Friday at the Veteran's Memorial Building and will continue until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Old Agency Catholic Cemetery in Onigum. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Cass Lake assisted the family with arrangements. Pallbearers will be J.D.
Ronald Phillip Yearling, 68, of Port Hope Township, Tenstrike, died Saturday, March 22, 2008, at Neilson Place in Bemidji, Minnesota. A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Blackduck with the Rev. Luis Buitron officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Sunday at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Blackduck. Burial will be in the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Turtle River at a later date. He was born Feb. 29, 1940, to Claude and Martha (Saunders) Yearling in Chicago, Ill.
Ray Wayne Kavanagh, 75, of Bemidji and Tucson, Ariz., died Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the United Methodist Church in Bemidji with Rev. Eric Hucke officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Bemidji, with military honors by the American Legion Post 14 of Bemidji.
