The unemployment rate in Minnesota declined in August and September but held steady at 3.2% in October.
About 7,400 jobs were added in October, according to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
The top industry that gained jobs in October was leisure and hospitality (4,900 jobs). This was followed by trade, transportation and utilities (2,500 jobs).
Labor force participation also increased by 1/10 of a percent (now 70.3%) and the employment-to-population ratio increased to 68% -- an 11-year high.
