Detroit Lakes apparel company, Lakeshirts / Blue 84, announced they have finalized a deal to acquire TGT, Inc., a veteran sticker and accessory manufacturer of over 20 years that is renowned for their artwork and customer orientation.
Born from a love of skiing, TGT has gone from a small assortment of stickers on the shelves of a couple of Jackson Hole retailers to a leading accessory brand sold in over 2,000 retail stores across North America. Since their start, TGT has delivered a product offering that has featured wildly-popular, unique artwork. TGT has also expanded well beyond its sticker offering, supplying customers with accessories like patches, magnets, key rings and glassware.

This acquisition is a logical one, as both companies began as home-grown businesses serving the resort industry, which have grown to serve customers all over North America. Likewise, the product offerings and some customers don't cross over, which offers immediate opportunities for growth.
Through this transaction, Lakeshirts' goal is to build off of the remarkable success of TGT and incorporate the Lakeshirts' values of "Wowing Our Customer," "Team," "Continuous Improvement," "Meritocracy" and "Community" to continue to build on the great success that TGT has enjoyed. Likewise, after 35 years of successful business, Lakeshirts / Blue 84 has been able to develop a wide variety of resources that will be utilized to make the great TGT brand even better.
The transition has been a comfortable process for both companies, and is attributed to the alignment of their cultures and their orientation.
