The Boys & Girls Club Thrift Store and More started in 2006 in a small laundromat. In 14 years, it has moved three times, with the latest move to the old Kmart building on Highway 10 West being its biggest location yet. (Desiree Bauer / Tribune)

Just one month after announcing the move in a previous Tribune article , the Boys and Girls Club Thrift Store and More opened its new doors at the former Kmart building on Monday, Feb. 3.

The new location is almost twice as big as the former building on Highway 10 East, according to a news release. John Kerzman, the Chairman of the Boys & Girls Club Thrift Store and More, said in the article that they've had to put some of their items in semi-trailers because there wasn't enough room at that Highway 10 E building.

"The extra footage is going to be utilized," Kerzman said.

The new space also has a bigger parking lot with enough space to provide a donation drop off door with "drive-through" access, the news release said.

"The beautiful thing about it is the flow," said John Kerzman, the Chairman of the Boys & Girls Club Thrift Store and More, in a previous Tribune article. The "flow" of the parking lot at the store's new location includes a donation drop off and drive-through spot, which Kerzman was looking forward to. (Desiree Bauer / Tribune)
