Essentia Health offers schools $2,500 for student behavioral health programs

If area schools create programs that encourage healthy behavior patterns in students, especially those at a young age, Essentia Health will fund the program. They are offering up to $2,500 in funding, according to a news release.

Essentia Health is accepting program proposals from schools in Becker County, among several others:

  • Ashland
  • Bayfield
  • Becker
  • Big Stone
  • Carlton
  • Cass
  • Cook
  • Douglas
  • Itasca
  • Koochiching
  • Lake
  • Norman
  • Pine
  • Polk
  • St. Louis
  • Washburn

Proposed programs can fall in the areas of physical activity, nutrition, mental health and substance abuse. Applications for proposed programs are due by Friday, Feb. 28.
