Physician Assistant Sarah Bement has joined the Family Medicine Department at the Essentia Health St. Mary’s-Mahnomen Clinic in Mahnomen.
Bement grew up in nearby Waubun, and has worked as a clinical dietitian at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s in Detroit Lakes since 2005.
“I have always felt welcomed, supported and appreciated here and I was thrilled to find a position at Essentia after completing my education,” says Bement. “It is refreshing to work for an organization with such dedication to its values and the overall wellness of its patients, employees and community.”
Bement earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
“I sought a position in family medicine because I want to be able to create lasting relationships with my patients and work with them toward a common goal of health and wellness,” says Bement. “I value the concept of treating the whole patient, not just one ailment at a time.”
